True Love

Fashion figure - My True Love

It's been quite some time since I've been drawing figures.
Figures of beautiful women,
with slender, long legs,
Women who wore the clothes I had so carefully drawn,
Cut out to perfection.

I didn't know all this time along,
That what I'd love the most about drawing
But now it seems crystal clear to me.

*****************************************

You know the kind of women I used to draw?

Well, apparently, it's called fashion figure. And now that I've found out that it's quite different from the other kind of drawing, I've really set my heart on it. Fashion figure emphasizes on the human body, and the clothings compared to the other drawings from what I've observed. It's not all about human illustration, yet it's not all about FASHION only. It's about art, which carries a deeper meaning (to me). And I LOVE IT!!!

In fashion illustration , your figure should be drawn
- long
- slim
- squared off shoulders and
- very unrealistically elongated legs.

It will look extremely out of proportion, as the legs tend to be exaggeratedly long. The waist must be drawn very slender.

In drawing your figure, remember that

- the waist is one third down from the top of the figure.

# It is most important to show this important aspect of the figure, which will add to the elegance of your croquis. The waist falls in between the pelvic box and the upper torso shape, and should have a nice curve inward over these two structures of the body. The figures are measured in head widths, in order to ensure you’re getting the proportions right.

The true female figure measures seven to eight head lengths in height, the fashion figure measures nine to ten head lengths.

# In fashion drawing you must retain the basic proportions of the human form from head to crotch

# Add extra length to the legs to give dramatic stylised effect and give your designs more dynamic appeal.

*****************************************

So, I guess you guys will be seeing more of my drawings.

But this time, I've set my heart on a particular branch.

No more drawing aimlessly.

From now on, it'll be Figure Fashion.

Good luck yin~!!

Gathering

On the 20th November, year 2008, the graduates of Keong Hoe primary had a gathering. XD Actually it was quite fun, despite having an attendence of only a mere number of 20 people, it was yet another unforgettable moment together since we split in the year 2004.

We had tomyam steamboat!!!

Tuck in people!!

The Three Musketeers

We also had card games. The boys had this game named "bluff" . And as usual, I had no idea how do play it. They were saying, can choose to bluff, can choose to not bluff. But how was I to know when to bluff or not?!? *blurness* But in the end, I won the last game!! XD YESSHHH!!!

Haha, see their faces? Full of bluff and suspician..

Memories..

Memories that brought us back to the past where we studied under the same roof, the same school. We learnt and played together. Not to forget the moments when we were punished together XD

*******

Time flies, and in just a blink of an eye, four years have passed since. People changed, WE changed. Yet those that were present today are the ones that were willing to keep the bond alive. The bond that was shared for years during our primary schooling. We've been there for each other, through thick and thin.

And who knows one day, that either one of us might be a billionaire?

Who knows, one might be a great scientist?

Who knows what will happen in years after today?

But no matter what, everyone enjoyed themselves today. We played like old times, talked like old times, joked like old times...

And as for me,

I'm just glad to be there for them once again..

Happy Moments

A toast to the end

Okay, the update for Young Enterprise 2008 Annual Showcase. Actually, I'm a little lazy to update the details, so I just copy paste what was written in the Star XD it's easier

Winning products: Lim Ai-Yin (left) and Chou Zhao Min from Penang Chinese Girls High School showing their team's award winning handmade products.

THE business world is a place where only the toughest survives and 26 Form Four students from Penang Chinese Girls High School (PCGHS) prove to their peers that they have got what it takes to make it in the business world by clinching the Young Enterprise (YE) Challenge Trophy.

They beat teams from 21 other secondary schools to take home the trophy for Best Managed YE Company this year at the 19th Young Enterprise Programme Achievers Showcase held at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in Penang on Thursday.

With handicrafts, toys and bookmarks as their sale products, the girls worked from February to August to get everything together, literally starting from scratch.

Student Chou Zhao Min, 16, said they spent RM2,040.92 on raw materials and other expenses to make the handmade items.

“But we managed to cover our cost with a total revenue of RM7,485.40,” she said.

PCGHS’ RM5,444 profit margin was certainly good enough to beat St. Xavier’s Institution (SXI), Methodist Girls School and SMK Sacred Heart to second, third and fourth places respectively.

The best annual report achievement award went to SMK Dato’ Onn, followed by SMJK Chung Ling, SMJK Union and Penang Free School.

For best product achievement, SMJK Phor Tay was the winner with SMK Convent Green Lane the first runner-up while SMK Batu Maung and SMK Datuk Haji Abdul Kadir took the third and fourth placing respectively.

At the YE sales fair in Queensbay Mall, SXI had the best overall stall while SMK Dato’ Onn was best in customer service. SMK Convent Green Lane was best in teamwork, SMJK Phor Tay best in promotions while SM Teknik Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra had the best decorated stall.

Penang YE programme area chairman Yew Tian Tek, who is also Motorola Technology Sdn Bhd managing director, said the programme taught the students communication skills, teamwork, time management and how to run a business company successfully.

“These young achievers were not lectured by their YE advisors on how to run their company but were allowed to discover their own talents and learn from the challenges they met along the way, giving them invaluable and unforgettable lessons that will help them find success in life later,” he said in his speech.

More than 15,000 students had participated in the YE programme since it began in 1989 as a community education programme that inculcates the entrepreneur spirit in Form Four students.

Deputy Chief Minister II Dr P. Ramasamy, who represented Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng at the awards presentation ceremony in USM, congratulated the successful students.

“This programme certainly deserves continued support from the various industries and the Education Ministry,” said Dr Ramasamy, who is also state Economic Planning, Education, Human Resources and Science, Technology and Innovation Committee chairman.

The YE programme was organised and supported by the American-Malaysian Chamber of Commerce and the state Education Department’s co-curriculum unit.

So that's about it. Today, we went to TGIF to celebrate our success. Almost all were present, including the teacher advisers and the Fed-Ex people. Everyone had the time of their lives. And note, it was because of the people that everyone was happy, not because of the food.. XD I shall not further elaborate on the ********** food lest they sue me. Besides, their service was quite good. XD friendly is the word!! We ate lots, and lots, till everybody was almost at the verge of bursting..(oh well, i guess not everybody, cause zm still had appetite to have fries at McD after that! After all that food!! )

Fed-Ex advisers were also present

Chaw Yeh's birthday is due in a few days time, so we celebrated with her beforehand. And yeah, she was asked to stand on the chair and sing "yue liang dai biao wo de xin" =P

The Simpsons!!

The Valence Code-ies

Hail! The blackies!!

**************************************************************************

Well, I guess this will be the last of the Jivey-ians. Since they've already had their last say in YE a long time ago. This maybe the last gathering ever that we'll ever have for years to come. I'm glad every one have come a long way, and still enjoy each others' presence. It's been a long journey. Every one's worked so hard to achieve something beyond what they've hoped for. They have dared to hope for the best, and BEST did they come out in this year. Despite little quarrels that we all had during this year, we managed to pick ourselves up and look at the wider aspect, the main target. And despite all those misunderstandings that cooked up during the process, everyone remained united to the end, alas, conquering the MAIN HIGHLIGHT of the year

- THE OVERALL CHAMPIONS!!

A TOAST TO THE JIVEY-IANS!!! CHEERS!!!

A whirlwind to the past

This post will be one of the few, rare posts..

Cause I recently read a post, which made me reminisce the past.
It was just like four years ago, when we were all in form1. Old times people, happy times..

Yeah, I study in a so-called-great school, the one-and-only- PCGHS. So great huh, you'd think that the moment you stepped in, you'll be seeing great people, great bookworms to be precise. Well, hell no. Sure there were GREAT BOOKWORMS, there were also great athletes, and above others, there were GREAT FRIENDS.

How time flies. It was just like yesterday, that we fought, we messed up, we played, we made fun of teachers, and the moments when we stood up to each other through thick and thin.

I remembered a time, when a teacher a.k.a BUFFALO came to our class to invigilate. It was during the exams. She came in so high and mighty, oh-so posh looking. (they says she changes clothes everyday and wears different clothes thru 365 days a year! okay that's filthy rich!! But of course, some gossip..she's a MISTRESS!! aaa....aaaAAAAAHHHHHH !! lolz, so what? who cares? that's her problem!..haha ^^) Okay back to the topic. She came to invigilate, and asked Choon Imm to talk to her, during the exams. She beckoned over to Choon Imm, who was actually making quite a racket at the back of the class. She "invited" Choon Imm to join her at her table during the exams!! okay, that's weird. Of course, our poor friend here got quite a shock and behaved herself after that.. =P

Sweet huh?

Then next up is our dear Tzee Yunn. Nice girl that is, of course with a temper to be warry of. She's got a shocking temper, but nevertheless, a friend to the end when you're in hot soup. I remember we had a fight with the forth formers. They were a "yeng" lot. ^^ Okay, simply saying, they're sorta, tomboys, and lesbians ahh you get the idea. Not a very good lot those people were. It just happened that this young lady*me* managed to get into a "minor quarrel". Okay , it was a fight. But so what, my peeps stood up for me! That's most important. HAHA! SO THERE! And my dear friend - TZEE YUNN, stood up by me through the whole experience. Whoots, i'm touched ^^

Joy stands for joyful. Unfortunately, this young friend of mine didn't blend in well with me during the earlier stages. Luckily for us, the others held up the bond, making it impossible for both of us to get separated, though being mad at each other was quite an easy thing to do those days. Well, nowadays, she's still a close friend. And DEFINITELY a friend whether you either need her or not. She's loyal, trustable, and vegetable! Ah, and she loves pork!! And MEAT!!. ^^ you should see her rushing to the stall before recess..yes, people, BEFORE recess..just to check out the DELICACIES *yuck*

Wanyi LOVES MAYDAY!! okay, she CLAIMS that her boyfriend/husband not sure, is ah Shin ( the oh-so yeng + cute + handsome + charming + talented + so many many more things ) Yeah yeah.haha, come on, he's not half as handsome as MAKSIM!! WHOOTS MAKSIM!! okay, credits to her, Ah Shin does look a "lil" cute ^^ Oh well, our successful young lady, who was once our young star in field games is now the president of our kebersihan club!! Not bad eh for a young kid who once quarreled with numerous teachers. Although a little carried away more then often by her instinct or feelings, she'll be there for us, no matter what. And I still do believe in her, now, this very moment, that she's still a good friend when we need her. YES SHE IS!!

Yun Yan is now love sick, but let's leave it at there. ^^ She got her own thoughts and thinking, And I wouldn't like to be one who contradicts her opinions of her life. Actually, truth be said, she is the main bond between me and joy. The main reason why I and joy were still talking to each other 4 years ago. FOr me, I wouldn't care less about it, but she sincerely created a friendship bond between the both of us, forming the fundamental of a relationship that is now so, so beautiful.

Jolyn is a girl you'd never forget. Not Jolyn Tsai for goodness sake! Jolyn, My friend!! My dear dear friend!! Though she has drifted apart from us these few years, I will never be able to forget the moments when she and US would quarrel, with her ending up apologising to us! (haha, we didn't bully her sia. Besides, i was the peace-maker everytime ^^ go Ai-yin!!! ) Yeah, and the way we used to make fun of her "strawberry head" XD And yes, the time when she would drum the table with beats of rhythmic patterns( I thought her that one!! Yippee!! FIY, we're in the 24 Seasons Drum)

Wuan Xin is another member of our current Kebersihan Team. She's the man!! I mean, the WOMAN!! haha..got womanly figure that one!! and you get the idea i suppose, well, even if you don't get it, don't start thinking about 2 mountains!! XD *oppss* She's obsessed with Manga or watever you call those anime I think. Not sure, but yet again, she was a friend when you needed her.

Ze Lin is the only one who left us so early. She's in Australia now, taking up Music. I remember she lent me her "ps I love you" book!! Yeah, she's nice. But lil kids didn't really know about the value of friendship back then. She would sit on the floor by our classroom door and sulk whenever all of us had a fight. And then, everybody's friends again!! XD Yeah, she does have BROOMY HAIR!! well, actually, it was a bob hair something like that, and it was funny!! She's a knack of getting at your nerves one moment and then next thing you know, you love her again! Yeah, up to this day, i can still hear her foot stamps on the ground whenever she gets frustrated! But I guess that's all part and parcel of a wonderful friendship. =P

Wei Wei is one of the Jivey-ians. She's our Sales Director to be precise. She's changed a lot. Sadly to say, she's not the one she used to be 4 years ago. 4 years ago? She's nice, kind, Happy-go-lucky..Everyone had to agree on that. If anyone had problems, she would be the only one remaining positive and happy throughout the year. She was like a ray of sunshine in a cold dark world when everyone was gloomy. Anyone could imagine her bubbling down the corridor, waiting to geet any friend in sight. But i guess, time just has a knack of wearing off even the strongest person at heart.

Yun yee was small, petite, tall though.llolz i'm contradicting my points. XD Well, now she's a stunningly beautiful young lady! NOt a surprise there though. I remember her as a joyful young lady, with a BLUE bag. See, i remember her bag!! haha! XD Now though we're in different classes, we keep in touch thru Kebersihan and YE sporadically. And though time flies, she.......hasn't changed one bit. Still the kind, sweet girl I used to know who would shared our laughter and sit with us on the same table during recess. ( the table's been a symbol of our relationship)

Well, hell yeah, some people wish for a time machine to turn back time. But it's impossible, and we all know it. So to folks out there, cherish your moments with whoever beside you. There maybe a time or a point, where you want to look back at your life and say, "I've had friends! True friends!"

Remember, a true friend is one that you've been through thick and thin with, knows him/her in and out, and can still like that person.

Remember, a friend is someone that you can sit with in the dark without talking to each other, yet not feel any awkwardness.

Remember, spend more time with your loved ones, cause they are not going to be there forever.

Remember, to cherish that one moment, for one day, that person might grow up and leave your side.

Reach out to them.
It's the only treasure you can give with your heart.
Moreover, it doesn't cost you a cent does it?

A tag to sanity

Dear Yun Yan,

I don't really know how to tell you this, but I'll join the monastery.
I think i realized it when I was under a state of trance and I saw y0u sit on my avocado plant.
I'm sure you're ashamed enough to understand that Santa doesn't exist .
I'm returning the pictures from LA to you, but i'll keep your left ear as a memory. ^^
You should also know that I told in my confession today about eggplant-fetishism.

Good luck on your short-term leave from jail,
Loves;
Ai-yin

" Frisbeetarianism is the belief that when you die, your soul goes up on the roof and gets stuck "
George Carlin

Well, Georgie is stuck on the roof now — the comedian, wordsmith, and all-around force-to-be-reckoned-with died on a Sunday of heart failure. He was just 71.

George Carlin, from an early age, recognized both the importance of words and the freedom to use them. George knew that when you start to take words away from people — when you begin to label them, arbitrarily, as “bad” — then you start to take away their freedom.

George Carlin has remained a hilarious, but poignant, champion of freedom of speech through his entire career. More than that, he has reminded us of why we care so much about storytelling — his carefully crafted comic capers were as glorious as any part of America’s rich and storied oral tradition. He spoke to the audience like they were his friends, and they were in many ways.

He said,

The paradox of our time in history is that

We have taller buildings

but shorter tempers,

wider Freeways ,

but narrower viewpoints.

We spend more,

but have less,

we buy more,

but enjoy less.

We have bigger houses

and smaller families,

more conveniences,

but less time.

We have more degrees

but less sense,

more knowledge,

but less judgment,

more experts,

yet more problems,

more medicine,

but less wellness.

We drink too much,

smoke too much,

spend too recklessly,

laugh too little,

drive too fast,

get too angry,

stay up too late,

get up too tired,

read too little,

watch TV too much,

and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions,

but reduced our values.

We talk too much,

love too seldom,

and hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living,

but not a life.

We've added years to life

not life to years.

We've been all the way to the moon and back,

but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor.

***********************

We conquered outer space

but not inner space.

We've done larger things,

but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air,

but polluted the soul.

We've conquered the atom,

but not our prejudice.

We write more,

but learn less.

We plan more,

but accomplish less.

We've learned to rush,

but not to wait.

We build more computers

to hold more information,

to produce more copies than ever,

but we communicate less

and less.

These are the times of fast foods

and slow digestion,

big men

and small character,

steep profits

and shallow relationships.

These are the days of two incomes

but more divorce,

fancier houses,

but broken homes.

These are days of quick trips,

disposable diapers,

throwaway morality,

one night stands,

overweight bodies,

and pills that do everything from cheer,

to quiet,

to kill.

It is a time when there is much in the showroom window

and nothing in the stockroom.

A time when technology can bring this letter to you,

A time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete...

Remember;

spend some time with your loved ones,

because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember,

say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe,

because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember,

to give a warm hug to the one next to you,

because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart

and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember,to say,

'I love you'

to your partner and your loved ones,

but most of all mean it.

A kiss and an embrace

will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember

to hold hands

and cherish the moment

for someday

that person will not be there again.

Give time to love,

give time to speak!

And give time to share

the precious thoughts in your mind.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:

Life

is not measured by the number of breaths we take,

but by the moments that take our breath away.

George Carlin

Think. Thought. Thoughts.

A friend is someone that you've been through thick and thin with, knows him/her in and out, and can still like that person.

A friend is someone that you can sit with in the dark without talking to each other, yet not feel any awkwardness.

Even in the word "believe", there's a word "lie" in between.

Those who are happy over your loss is an enemy,
Those who are happy over your happiness is a friend,
Those who are sad over your loss is those worth keeping in the heart forever.

If there's 1000 steps between you and me,
If only you would take one step closer,
I'll take the other 999 steps towards you.

Sometimes it's not that others don't care about you,
Perhaps it's because you care too much.

Sometimes, life is not all about fame, fortune and power, it's about the little things in life that matters the most. No matter how mundane your effort is to make a change, as long as you believe and have faith, you can make a difference.

Friendship F.O.R.E.V.E.R ?

What would you do if everytime you fell in love with someone you had to say good-bye?

WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF EVERY TIME YOU WANTED SOMEONE THEY WOULD NEVER BE THERE?

What would you do if for every one moment you were truly happy there would be 10 moments of sadness?

What would you do if your best friend died tomorrow, and you never got a chance to tell them how you felt?

What would you do if you loved someone more than anything else and you could never have them?
