when immortals become MORTALS

Have you ever imagined an immortal? Actually, an immortal in disguise as a mortal? Well, these people are those that really stand out in the crowd. No matter what shape and size they take, they still shine upon the others. They can be fat, ugly, beautiful, tall, anything in fact. More than often however, people look upon them as somebody different, someone more unique than the others that they usually befriend.

I've come across some of these so called "immortals". Well, one thing that fascinates me most is that these kind of people do not really "feel" emotionally. They do things after thought, in a very appropriate manner, they handle things more maturely for their age, they think beyond and out of the box, most of all, they see things in a different manner. They look at both sides of the coin, they consider that a cup is half full AND half empty, they see the good as well as the bad. Whereas some mortals just see things one-sided, or either choose to do so.

Another thing that fascinates me is that "immortals" know what they want in life. They know where their path is headed. They see the lane far beyond the imagination of the normal humankind. They are crystal clear of what they want to achieve and how to do so.

My topic : " when IMMORTALS become...mortal.." I've noticed over a distance of time, a particular person. A person that has somewhat changed my life in some way. That immortal showed me great confidence, great achievements, great dreams of the world tomorrow. That immortal painted a picture so real and genuine that one could actually feel life in that picture. That immortal showed me great passion, great leadership, great persistence, great things that can be made to come true no matter how hard it is. That immortal could change my thoughts with one delicate string of words mouthed with a soothing, beautiful voice. And that voice, i swear, could reach out to almost anybody in that crowd. That voice was trained to touch the soul of any mortal in the crowd. That voice WAS as pure and innocent as a baby dove, still, it reached out to the thousands of people, touched their hearts... and souls.

However, when the immortal becomes mortal..

The "once-immortal" starts to realize the pain that a mortal goes through. He starts to feel the pain and pressure that puts him out. He is breathless within seconds of anger, sadness and confusion. He was once innocent to the outside danger. But now, as naive as he is, he is vulnerable to all the things that he once did not believe in. He did not believe that a person could endure so much stress and pressure that it killed her. He did not believe that a person could fail in an examination. He did not believe that pizzas were made out of dough!! ( lolz, the last one is a joke, don't take it seriously..)

(Anyway..)

The "once-Immortal" now knows what it feels like to be betrayed by a loved one. The " once- Immortal" now feels the pain, anger and confusion when things go very wrong. Hurt runs through the soul of the innocent being, awakening the little mortal-self in him. Time passes on, and soon, the "immortal" finds himself a "mortal"...

A mortal that falls in love as easily as a normal being. A mortal that falls to the ground more easily when he encounters danger and confusion. A mortal that is weak and shaky as a leaf. A mortal that is no longer able to see both sides of the coin. A mortal that is blinded by the mist of confusion and deceit.. A mortal that lives only as a silhouette in the dark shadows, unseen, unable, and unfriendly.

Seems strange how a person changes when things no longer goes his way. Strange how fast a person can change in that spur of a moment where things happen in a flash. Looking back, all is but a blur. But still, that spur of moment changed that person.. That spur of a moment changed an IMMORTAL to a MORTAL...
